Serving The Community

My journey in Strathcona County began in 2006 when I married my husband Cory at Festival Place in Sherwood Park, a moment that rooted my heart in this community. Since moving here in 2007, I’ve raised my family and grown to love our vibrant region—its scenic trail systems, exceptional services, and, most importantly, its remarkable people.

From 2007 to 2014, I was a dedicated stay-at-home mom, nurturing my family and building connections in Strathcona County. During this time, I served on the Parent Council and LOGOS Society, helping strengthen our schools and community programs. I then began homeschooling my children, actively participating in local homeschool groups and organizing gatherings to foster support and connection among families. In 2014, I rejoined the workforce part-time while continuing to homeschool, balancing family and community commitments.

In 2020, I co-led an online COVID-19 support group with two other amazing women, providing unbiased information and connecting residents to vital community resources. This effort earned us the Mayor’s Award at the Strathcona County Awards of Excellence in 2021.

In 2022, I became a business owner and joined the Strathcona County Chamber of Commerce, connecting with inspiring entrepreneurs. I’ve given back by serving on the boards of the Chamber and the Women in Business Association, volunteering for the Ravenwood Music Festival, my local church, and the Strathcona Christmas Bureau. I also host "It Takes a Hamlet," an online radio show on Sound Sugar Radio, where I share stories and insights to strengthen our community’s bonds. In 2024, I helped organize a fundraiser that raised over $19,000 for Little Warriors, a cause dear to this community and beyond.

I’m running for council because Strathcona County deserves leaders who listen and serve. Our unique blend of urban, rural, residential, commercial, and industrial communities requires a fresh perspective, which I bring through years of diverse involvement and a commitment to act in our collective best interest.

Why Vote for Me?

With nearly two decades of service—from parenting and homeschooling to award-winning community support, business leadership, and amplifying voices through my radio show—I’m dedicated to preserving what makes Strathcona County special while fostering growth and unity. Vote for me to ensure a councilor for Ward 4 who listens, learns, and leads with passion for our entire community.
